Chili!!!! Chili is always always always a hit with everyone in my family! It's my oldest's absolute favorite food! And my little ones seems to really love it too! Out of all the many chili recipes I've made I think this might be my favorite! This recipe is adapted from Simply Whisked.

2lbs ground beef
1 onion (chopped)
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1/2 tsp salt
5 tbsp chili powder
1/2 tbsp paprika
2 tsp cumin
1 tsp oregano
28oz diced tomatoes
1 cup IPA beer
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
2 cans black beans (drained and rinsed)
1 can kidney beans (drained and rinsed)

In a large pot brown the ground beef then drain off the grease. Add the onion and garlic and cook for another 2 minutes. Lower heat and stir in the salt, chili powder, paprika, cumin and oregano then stir well. Add the diced tomatoes and beer. Bring to a simmer and stir in the worcestershire sauce and all of the beans. Let simmer for 15-20 minutes. Serve with your favorite toppings.

I made a double batch of these pretzels then put them in snowman cellophane gift bags to pass out to our neighbors and they turned out so cute! I also took some to small group and everyone loved them! They have that salty sweet thing going on and are absolutely addicting. This recipe is from Life In The Lofthouse.

16oz pretzel twists
2/3 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup of cinnamon sugar mixture for sprinkling
1 bag white chocolate chips

Whisk together the vegetable oil, sugar and cinnamon. Place the pretzels in a large microwave safe bowl then toss with the vegetable oil mixture. Heat in the microwave for 1 minute then stir and heat for another 45 seconds. Spread out over parchment or wax paper. Sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar mixture. Melt the white chocolate in the microwave, in 30 second increments, stirring in between until fully melted. Drizzle over the pretzels and let sit until the white chocolate has set.

Paneer Chandni - A royal paneer delicacy.  This has been adopted from a five star hotel recipe of mild spicy Paneer dish.  This is a tribute to my favorite Director Mr. Yash Chopra who passed away recently. This recipe is very royal as the main ingredients used are very royal and rich. Hence, this recipe also resembles to Yashji's movies.

Servings : 4-5 people

Ingredients :

For Paneer Chandni :
3 tbspns Ghee
3-4 Cloves (Laung)
2 crushed Cardamom
2 finely chopped Onions
Cashew-Mava Paste
Salt to taste
1 tspn Pepper Powder
500 gms soft Paneer
200 gms Fresh cream

For Cashew-Mava Paste :
1 cup Cashew nuts
2 tspns Ginger Paste
6-7 chopped Green chillies
1 & 1/2 cup Mava (Khoya or reduced milk)
1 tspn Cardamom powder
1/2 cup milk
Salt to taste

For Garnishing :
Almond flakes
Saffron strands
Silver leaves (Chandi Varq)

Pre-preparation :
Cut the paneer into cubes of approx 1 inch each and set aside. Soak the Saffron strands in milk for garnishing.

Method :
To make Cashew-Mava Paste :
Mix Cashew nuts, Ginger paste, Green chillies, Mava, Cardmom Powder and salt in a bowl. Transfer it into a blender. Add milk to facilitate the process of blending. Blend it to a paste of smooth consistency. Transfer it into a bowl and set aside.

To make Paneer Chandni :
Heat ghee in a pan. Add coves and crushed Cardamoms. Once it crackles, add the chopped onions. Saute it till the onions are translucent. Then add the Cashew-Mava paste and cook. Ensure that the paste is stirred continuously. Saute the paste for 3-4 minutes. Then add the salt and pepper powder to the paste.  Check the seasoning and add the pieces of paneer. See that the paste is coated to the pieces of paneer evenly. Lastly, stir in fresh cream and mix well.

Transfer it into a serving bowl. Garnish it by sprinkling Amond flakes, soaked Saffron and Silver Leaves (Varq). Serve hot with roti or naan.

Notes :
You may add milk to adjust the consistency.
Making powder of cashews separately while making the paste will facilitate smooth grinding.

Wheat Flour Laddu is a very simple traditional Maharashtrian recipe. It requires very few ingredients, but the final product is awesome. These Laddus are very nutritional and are specially made for ladies who are expecting and have craving for sweets.

Servings : 15-16 medium size Laddus

Ingredients:
For Laddus:

4 cups Wheat flour

2 cups Ghee

3 cups ground Sugar (Sugar powder / Pithi Sakhar)

1/4 tspn Cardamom powder

1 and 1/2 tspns Milk masala or Coarse dry fruit powder (Optional)

For Garnishing :
Almond flakes

Method:
Heat ghee in a pan till it melts. Then add the Wheat flour in ghee. Roast it in low flame till it starts releasing ghee and an aroma is released. Ensure that the flame is always low while roasting the wheat flour. This process takes approximately 35-45 minutes.

Once the wheat flour changes its colour, switch off the flame. Then add cardamom powder, milk masala and ground sugar to the mixture. Mix well with the help of spatula and knead it with hands. Make medium size tight balls while the mixture is warm. Sprinkle some almond flakes over it.

These laddus may be stored for 10 to 15 days.

Notes:

After the wheat flour is completely roasted, you may add a teaspoon of milk as we do while making Besan Laddu.
The ghee should be Pure Ghee (Sajuk Tup)
